The theme of the XVIII International AIDS Conference, which is taking place in Vienna from July 18 - 23, "Rights here, right now" highlights the urgent need for a human-rights based approach to the global fight against HIV. 

Pangaea is dedicated to working with countries heavily affected by AIDS and their international partners to identify and implement sustainable, human rights-based HIV prevention and treatment programs for vulnerable populations most affected by HIV, especially women and girls, men who have sex with men (MSM) and injecting drug users (IDUs).

Of particular note are

• The MSM Preconference on July 17 hosted by the Global Forum on MSM and HIV.  Pangaea is a cosponsor of this meeting. 
• The March and Rally for Human Rights on Tuesday, July 20.
