Barrot Lambdin, PhD, MPH

Director of Implementation Science
Barrot Lambdin, PhD

Dr. Barrot Lambdin is Director of Implementation Science at Pangaea Global AIDS Foundation where he leads efforts to design and implement rigorous operations research and evaluation activities in support of Pangaea’s programs and policies.  He oversees the development of study protocols as well as data collection, management and analysis for all Pangaea research activities. In addition, Barrot cultivates the organizational capacity for implementation science initiatives through trainings for the staff of Pangaea and partnering organizations.

Barrot received his MPH in Global Environmental Health from Emory University and his PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Washington where his research supported and strengthened health systems to more efficiently deliver programs in resource-limited settings. Much of his work has focused on identifying bottlenecks and solutions to the implementation of proven interventions for HIV prevention and treatment.

More recently, he has been involved in initiatives looking at the impact of integrating HIV services into primary health care, health workforce shortages, mapping patient flow through facilities and strengthening management to support health system integration in Mozambique.

In an effort to build the capacities of future global health leaders and ministries of health, Barrot has conducted trainings in operations research methodologies at the University of Washington (Seattle, WA), University of Eduardo Mondlane (Maputo, Mozambique) and Cayetano University (Lima, Peru).
