Elaine Daniels, MD, PhD

Elaine M. Daniels received her MD in internal medicine from Yale, her PhD in Experimental Psychology (cognition and development) from Yeshiva University, and completed a research fellowship in polysaccharide vaccines at the Laboratory of Molecular Development and Immunity (NICHD/NIH/DHHS). She has more than 20 years experience in research and development.

Elaine has an extensive record of US Public Health service at the DHHS, including Director for Science, Office of AIDS Policy in the Office of the Surgeon General /Office of the Secretary of Health. During her government service she contributed to the design and development of the DHHS HIV Guidelines Panel and served as an HIV Guidelines Panel member from its inception in 1997 through 1999. In addition, her DHHS research experience included US and international Epidemiological, vaccine and clinical trials (Phases 1, 2, and 3) at the NIH. 

Elaine's 10-year pharmaceutical industry research experience has focused on the development and implementation of Phase 2 and 3b/4 clinical trials and the development of community based research. During her seven years at Pfizer she has held a number of positions involving clinical leadership.
