Mariette Peeters
Mariette Peeters is Project Specialist for Pangaea Global AIDS Foundation, where she documents all Pangaea’s projects, manages ongoing activities in Tanzania and provides coordination and management support for Pangaea’s programs in China and Zimbabwe.
Mariette is also a filmmaker. She graduated from UCLA with a BA in theater and went on to study video production at New York University. Mariette’s completed documentary films include Who Wants a War, Inside Strange Candy and 40 Years Together. Mariette also creates video content for non-profit organizations, including Pangaea Global AIDS Foundation, AIDS2031, and the Northern California Vipassana Center She has two projects currently in post-production: Chasing Light, a documentary short about Buddhist pilgrimage in India and Winemakers? a short documentary comedy about amateur winemaking in Sonoma county.
Prior to working with Pangaea Mariette was the Company Manager for a bilingual Beijing Opera theater troupe in New York City, the Artist Liaison for a vocal artist management agency, an Executive Assistant, and a cook.
