Ben Plumley

Ben Plumley is Chief Executive Officer of Pangaea Global AIDS Foundation. Ben’s particular expertise is in mobilizing partnerships between public, private and community sectors, developed over 20 years in the global fight against AIDS.  Ben is a health and development strategist and advocate, dedicated to the global fight against AIDS. Beginning in the late 1980s he worked with London’s HIV positive community – particularly HIV positive refugees from Eastern Africa. His career has subsequently spanned the private sector, United Nations, and non-governmental organizations.

Dennis Israelski, MD

Dennis Israelski, MD

Dennis Israelski, MD, is Chief Medical and Science Strategist at Pangaea Global AIDS Foundation. Dr. Israelski is a recognized physician leader in the field of infectious diseases. He has over 20 years experience as a leading clinician administrator, educator and researcher and has devoted his career to local and global public health. He has focused on community-based healthcare of indigent patients, quality service delivery to vulnerable populations, and innovative systems for the control and prevention of communicable diseases with a special interest in HIV/AIDS. He is Clinical Professor of Medicine in Infectious Diseases and Geographic Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine.

Megan Dunbar, DrPH, MPH

Megan Dunbar, DrPH

Megan Dunbar, Vice President of Research and Programs at Pangaea Global AIDS Foundation, has primary responsibility for the planning, execution, oversight, and monitoring of all Pangaea programs, projects and technical assistance related activities. Dr. Dunbar is an emerging leader in global HIV prevention efforts among women and youth. Her particular expertise is in designing and evaluating interventions that address the social and economic factors which increase HIV vulnerability, such as gender-based violence and inequities in educational and economic opportunities for girls and women. Formerly with the University of California, San Francisco, Dr. Dunbar has spent nearly a decade leading initiatives in Tanzania and Zimbabwe, where she lived for several years.

Mariette Peeters

Project Specialist

Mariette Peeters is Project Specialist for Pangaea Global AIDS Foundation, where she documents all Pangaea’s projects, manages ongoing activities in Tanzania and provides coordination and management support for Pangaea’s programs in China and Zimbabwe.
