Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria
Conducting Formative Evaluations of the Global Fund Gender Equality and Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Strategies
Pangaea is helping the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria to conduct formative evaluations of their Gender Equality (GE) and Sexual Orientation and Gender Identify (SOGI) Strategies.
The two strategies, approved by the Global Fund Board in 2008 and 2009 respectively, require the completion of a formative evaluation in 2010, which links to the 2011 Global Fund Partnership Forum and to the organization's current five-year strategy development process.
The evaluation will review: strategy, implementation progress and challenges and any emerging signs of impact. Information gained through this process will help inform the next stage of implementation for the strategies and will help inform the next five-year Global Fund strategy. Pangaea's May 12, 2011 announcement about the evaluation program provides more information.
As part of this effort, Pangaea will be leading focus group sessions on these strategies at the 2011 Global Fund Partnership Forum that is being held in Sao Paulo, Brazil from June 26 to July 1, 2011.
